A wet but mild day in Partington did not stop a storming performance from the Northern lads and lassies in taking the top honours. The top performance was seeing Aly Dixon (stepping in for an ill Rebecca Robinson) take 1st place in the women’s race in a PB of 32.31. Alyson just arrived back from Kenya and certainly showed the benefits of training at altitude for the last month. Aly was followed by Helen Clitheroe in 4th (33.43), Elle Vernon 6th (34.07) and Jenna Hill 10th (35.14)

In the men’s race Richard Weir lead the men to team victory in 6th place (29.52), Jonny Mellor 9th (30.04), Ben Fish 10th (30.06), Pat Gardiner 20th (30.25), Andy Wiles 30th (30.41) and Andy Norman 37th (31.27)

A great race with 20 men under 30.30 certainly makes this race one of the UKs fastest 10k, and a big thank you to Dave Norman and his team for a fantastic event, see you next year.
