Louise Bloor of Trafford AC captured her fifth NA senior women’s 100m title at an overcast SportCity on the opening day of the senior and

under 20s championship. A remarkable feat by any standard Louise was a clear winner in a time 11.52. Blackpool’s Katy Wyper took the silver with Rebecca Campbell of ‘s City of York taking the bronze.

Tim Burns of Sheffield & Dearne AC was another to retain his NA title as he won the senior men’s 400m in 47.40 he can add his two outdoor titles to his three indoors like Louise it’s a pretty impressive record. Harry Doran of Liverpool Pembroke Sefton was second in 47.82 with his teammate Danny Higham taking the bronze in 48.91. Interestingly Liverpool Pembroke Sefton had four athletes in this final.

Christian Carson of Gateshead H took the senior men’s 100m title to add to his 60m indoor title won earlier this year.

This year Northern Athletics played host to the Parallel Success Games and we had a number of outstanding performances, Kadeena Cox of Sale Harriers will pleased with her efforts as she won the ambulant senior women’s 100m in 14.10 which meets the qualifying time for the world champs.

Shaun Burrows (Charnwood AC) claimed the ambulant under 20s ambulant 100m in 11.58

The performance of the day however belonged to Maria Lyle (Team East Lothain) in the under 20s ambulant 100m. Maria  had an outstanding run of 14.37 which puts her second on the world all time list in. A mention must also go to Gateshead’s Emily Stewart who second in an impressive 14.79
