Senior Women 4 x 5.2K:

By the start of the senior races, the cloudy morning had been replaced by warm sunshine, with 72 teams on the start line. The first leg is always one of the fastest, and Rebecca Robinson of Kendal produced the fastest time of the day in 17.06, some 8 secs ahead of Leigh’s Lauren Howarth, with Sale, Vale Royal, Stockport, Lincoln Wellington making up the top 6. Salford’s Tessa Walker wasn’t far away in 7th place.
Leg 2 saw Jenna Hill, Sale, climb 2 places whilst Leigh Harriers (Georgina Leck) remained 2nd with Abbie Donnelly, Lincoln Wellington, moved the club up 3 places to third. Biggest mover of this leg was Keighley & Craven’s Helen Glover up 13 places to 7th.
Leg 3 saw Sale Harriers’ Luisa Candioll remain at the front with a 45 second lead, ahead of Lincoln Wellington moving into 2nd place and Vale Royal’s Amelia Parfitt up 8 places into 3rd, with the fastest time on this leg.
Leg 4 and yet again, Lincoln Wellington moved up one place in the shape of Sophie Cowper, with the fastest time of this leg, relegating Sale into 2nd place and Vale Royal retaining 3rd place, 30 seconds ahead of Stockport, Liverpool Harriers and Leigh.

Fastest of all legs, Rebecca Robinson, Kendal in 17.06, with Lauren Howarth 2nd fastest in 17.14. Lincoln Wellington had 3 of the team in the top 10 fastest times.

Yorkshire Championships
Yorkshire County AA held their relays championship within this event and it was a close tussle between Rotherham and Keighley & Craven with Rotherham taking the title in 1.18.54 from Keighley & Craven 1.19.45. Bingley took the bronze medals in 1.29.30
