Blue skies turned grey as the rain tumbled, but even this didn’t perturb a class field with 23 men under 30.30.
Chris Thompson eased to victory in 28.55, a new (new) course record. Chris was followed home by Richard Horton and Andy Maud 2nd and 3rd respectively. The North took the team victory with Patrick Dever 6th in a PB of 30.02, followed by Jack Morris 7th in 30.03, Dan Cliffe 10th in 30.06. Luke Gunn 17th in 30.12. Other notable northern performances from Emile Cairess 12th in a pb of 30.07.
The the ladies race, Elinor Kirk Swansea was 1st in 33.33, followed by the North’s Alyson Dixon 2nd in 33.43 and Lauren Howarth 3rd in 34.05.
The north team took victory with Emma Clayton 5th in 34.49 and Georgia Malir 8th 35.16.
