Recently NECAA lost one of its most popular and experienced officials. Margaret Watson in her 80th year, passed away on Wednesday October 11th after a short illness.
Margaret became an UKA official in 1989, and car lifts allowing was present week in week out throughout the year at enduranceand track events. For the last few years she had made track scribe her
regular duty and in the past had many appointments with Northern Athletics as well as her native North East.
Margaret’s humour and experience will be sorely missed by all her NECAA
colleagues.
