Northern Athletics is regrets to report the the death of Dave Macdonald the president of Humberside County AA who died on 20th December 2017.
At the end of the last track and field season Dave suffered a massive heart attack which left his heart severely damaged and also impaired his vision.
Dave was secretary, and a founding member, of Haltemprice Road Running Club. He started running long and ultra distance events in the mid 1950’s and continued his love for the sport both as an adjudicator and as a field judge. He was always present locally and will be remembered for wearing his jacket and woolly hat whatever the weather.
Dave’s funeral will take place on Friday 5th January at 3.30 p.m. at the Haltemprice Crematorium, Main Street, Willerby, HU10 6NS This is just off the A164 to the west of Hull.
