The AAA charity was formed in 1991 by AAA to provide assistance to young persons taking an active part in athletics and in full time education in England. Grants have been given to both individuals and other bodies such as clubs provided they met the requirements of our Trust Deed.
In 2008 the charity set up the present scheme whereby individuals can make a direct application. The charity makes modest but meaningful awards and over the years has helped several thousand athletes. Many have gone on to be successful senior athletes from club level to international. At the Rio Olympics four GB competitors had received help from the charity.
