We are deeply saddened to report the death last week of Dr Phil Thomas. Although Phil could ignite strong feelings amongst the athletics fraternity (and enjoy doing so), he was also passionate about the sport, and brought deep knowledge, clear thinking and a great sense of humour to all his dealings within the sport.
