Sale Harriers have released the details of changes to Covid procedures at their Indoor Open meetings. Please read carefully before attending the event

Sale Harriers Manchester have been informed that this afternoon that Manchester City Council have held a cross sports emergency planning meeting to consider the Government advice on holding sporting events indoors. The guidance affects events with an attendance of 500 people. Our indoor event is considered to be at or substantially near to that number that it should come under the Government guidance.

On the 19th December therefore anyone wishing to enter the Regional Athletics venue will be required to either:-

  1. a) produce evidence of a Covid pass either on a mobile device or in hardcopy OR
  2. b) produce evidence of a negative lateral flow test within the last 24 hours.

Failure to do either will result in admission being refused.

Additional conditions
All individuals at the event will be required to wear a face covering at all times unless:-

a) eating or drinking

b) athletes warming up for an event

c) athletes taking part in an event

The existing measures to combat the virus indoors will also apply in respect of ventilation and social distancing.

The Council will be putting on additional stewarding to manage the checking on entry and to police the wearing of face coverings.
