Our Annual Open Meeting resulted in a large gathering of clubs in the North and on the 11th November a vote was taken which was in favour of our proposal to implement a club affiliation scheme based on a payment of £2 per England Athletics registered athlete for competition. This would be paid by each club based on their EA registered athlete list on the 1st October each year. Payment would be made between the 1st October and the 15th October. This would affiliate your club for the year and all athletes for your club would then be eligible to compete in any NA event throughout the next 12 months.
We have produced a booklet, ‘The Way Forward’ which describes what will happen next and how clubs can ask questions and raise queries regarding our proposals. The booklet seeks to justify the reasoning behind this proposal and the desperate state of affairs that exists following the refusal of England Athletics to commit to funding beyond April 2019.
