Tony Collier secretary of Styal RC is doing his bit to raise prostate cancer awareness by offering to give talks to clubs or groups on this important subject.
“In the early part of 2017 I was training to run the Comrades ultra marathon in South Africa but my training was being hampered by a “groin strain” so I saw a sports injury Doctor and within 36 hours I’d gone from training for an ultra to being terminally ill with Prostate Cancer.
Since then I’ve been dismayed by the lack of awareness and the horrendous statistics about Prostate Cancer. I’ve therefore become an awareness speaker and would love get some half hour club talks booked in which be a little bit about my running journey/adventures with the World Marathon Majors and Comrades, running into cancer and prostate cancer awareness.
