Northern Athletics are sad to hear of the passing of Jan Lishman after a battle with cancer.
Words from Beth Lishman, Jan’s daughter:
She was well known in athletics especially the London 2012 Olympics being her highlight. A Beaver leader in Brigham for many years and a hockey referee. She is mostly known as Miss Lishman a French teacher at St Joseph’s Workington until her retirement. Mum was stubborn until the very end and fought a good battle. We have received many comforting messages throughout the day and we are so thankful for these. Funeral plans to follow once arrangements have been made.

Jan’s funeral will be held at 2pm on September 11th at St Bridget’s Church in Brigham.
