A great day for the North of England at the iconic home of Cross Country, Parliament hill.

Northern Athletics took 16 athletes to the London cross challenge last weekend, Saturday January 20th.

Under 20 ladies: A great team performance from our U20 ladies taking 2nd place behind a strong England team that included Innes Fitzgerald. Leading the North home was India Barwell (Lincoln Wellington) in 4th, with Amelie Lane (Wharfdale Harriers) in 7th, Isabel Holt in 13th and Beth Rogers in 15th.

Under 20 men: Debut performance for our U20 men taking 3rd team behind England and South of England, with Liam McCay in 9th, Alex Poulston 12th, Ed Edward Hobbs 13th and Will Sutcliffe in 17th.

Senior ladies: An outstanding performance from Lauren McNeil in 2nd place leading our ladies to 3rd team behind England and the South. Following Lauren home were Eleanor Ellie Curran in 30th, Emilia Platt 38th and Rosie Woodhams in 45th.

Senior Men: A fantastic performance from Hugo Milner taking 1st place and securing a place in the World Championships team for GB, leading our men to 5th team place, with Matt Ramsden 27th, Tommy Power 47th and Tom Humphries in 56th. A big thanks to Sally Malir for assisting me and to England Cross Country for their support.
