It is with deep sadness that we have to tell you of the death of our friend and colleague Terry Willis. This was after a short illness in hospital where he suffered several heart attacks. Terry started many athletics meetings at all levels and he was always both a great colleague and a fine starter. He was an essential member of the Humberside and Yorkshire starting teams and he will be greatly missed by all our officials and athletes alike.
The funeral is at Grimsby Minster ( St. James ) on Friday 25th September 2015 at 10.45am.

I was very sad to learn on my return from holiday, the death of my Starting Colleague Terry Willis.
Although my working experiences were not often with him, as I am based in the North East, however I always found him to be a very sociable and very nice colleague to work with, a True Gentleman, with a great sense of humour.
At this time I would like to offer my deepest condolences to his immediate family, God Bless.
It was with great sadness that I heard the news of Terry’s passing. He was a great help to me when I started officiating as a starters assistant and markswoman! A lovely family man, a fine painter and decorator. He.supported our club whenever he could and he will be sadly missed.
